Chemical Termite Management System

Sandy Straits Pest Control offers the choice between Termidor Fipforce or Biflex termiticide for a chemical treated termite management system (treated zone) on your home.

Chemical termite management systems are installed to the external perimeter of your property. Our technicians, will trench, treat, and backfill soil areas against your home. Concrete paths, driveways and patios are drilled, then the chemical is injected under the concrete, and the holes are capped with plugs.

There are options to increase the spacing distances of the treatment drill holes using Termidor HE and Fipforce HP termiticides. Contact our team to arrange a free online assessment.

Termidor Fipforce  is a non-repellent termiticide, meaning termites cannot detect the chemical in the ground, and works by the “Transfer Effect”. While foraging through the soil, the termites come in contact with the chemical and then the affected termites transfer Fipronil - the active constituent (ingredient), to others in the colony, by contact, grooming and exchange of food, which helps to eliminate the colony.

Biflex is a synthetic pyrethroid repellent termiticide. Biflex Termiticide quickly kills any termites it comes in contact with. Biflex provides a protective force field around your home. When termites forage through the soil and come in contact with a termite management barrier treated with Biflex Termiticide, they are repelled from the treated area and die.

We offer timber pest inspections, chemical barrier treatments and termite baiting. Whether it’s your home or business that needs help, we’ll be there to do the job in Hervey Bay, Maryborough, Bundaberg and beyond. Call (07) 4125 1939 to get started.

Chemical Soil Treatments

A chemical barrier treatment can be applied around the base and footings of your property to effectively destroy entire colonies of termites. Using either our Fipforce HP, Termidor or Biflex termiticides, all the little critters—termites will come into contact with the chemical and spread it to others. This is a very effective method of protecting your building.

Similarly, to Concrete areas, for soil treatment trenching is required to ensure we reach enough depth to properly apply the chemical. Once the chemical has been applied, the soil is then replaced and a hand-spray over the top to complete the job.

For a completely non-invasive alternative, consider termite baiting.

Timber Pest Inspections

How do you get rid of termites if you don’t even know they’re there? Our timber pest inspections utilise the latest thermal imaging technology—and techniques—to determine if and where they exist! This is a non-invasive method of looking behind the walls of your building and can detect even low levels of pest infestations—perfect for early identification and treatment.

At Sandy Straits Pest Control we use Termatrac T3i and the Flir E6 Thermal Imaging Camera to provide a thorough analysis on the situation at hand.
